Many people are going to be seeing this for the first time, but how many of you remember the last time? Does anybody have any stories….

Every 75 years humanity bears witness to this magnificent spectacle, and once again, Comet Halley is coming back!

Halley's last close approach of the sun was in 1986 We were able to observe it by spacecraft, and for the first time we learnt in detail, the structure of a comet nucleus, and the mechanism of the coma and tail formation.

Never have we had this many eyeballs looking up at the sky!

The next peak will be between Oct. 20 through to Monday, Oct. 21. We will be able to see on any clear night from now through November!

What else besides icy debris will be seen plummeting into Earth's atmosphere over the next few decades?
