Crew 9 coverage captures tumbling object which drastically changes direction and speed
Go to YouTube T+00:09:22 of NASASpaceflight launch coverage of Crew 9 today (September 28,2024). Anomalous object can be seen tumbling into frame and then drastically changes direction and speed.
OP here this footage again is a clipping of a livestream by NASASpaceflight’s coverage of the SpaceX/NASA launch. Just after call-outs for nominal orbit insertion and safing of the launch escape system, you can see a bright tumbling object in the exterior mvac shot that makes a drastic change in direction and with incredible speed shoots out of camera frame.

Do you mind linking the video? Having trouble finding it.

Most likely a piece of debris that came in contact with the thrusters area of effect.
Pretty interesting, though it appears it is passing behind thrusters, so could very very possible be tumbling debris or ice suddenly crossing into the heat trail.

I was watching this, seemed weird at the time, there was loads of random things in the background too throughout.

That is obviously a piece of debris such as soft heat shielding that came from stage separation or another phase of flight.
I say obviously because……it’s obvious.

ok so lets think about this from a logical place: that object is “below” that big thruster engine thing right? nothing on the craft would be below that thruster engine thing right? so you wouldn’t have an orientation “thruster” to move the craft left/right/up/down in that area below that big thruster engine right? and the object makes a sharp angle turn and drastically shoots off at crazy speed.
in other words… how would those extra small orientation thrusters be anywhere in that area to move that object in that direction? there shouldn’t be anything down in that area to get a good angle to push it like that correct?

If you look close at 0:05 you can see a giant humanoid being blended with the blackness of space, holding a strange device.
That’s weird and even the commentator paused mid word. I am sure this can be explained tho as we can see various piece of small debris or ice crystals moving off.

Damn that’s weird as fuck. I don’t think it was the thrusters. Looks like it’s far out there.
