Conservative US politics has always been a clownshow. Ever seen that video of the senator talk about how wind turbines are going to end the world because they’re stealing all the kinetic energy from the air that it needs to move? They’re absolutely known for talking out their asses and saying whatever they think their voterbase wants to hear.
Liberal politics do the same thing but not to the same extreme. They don’t say wildly and provably false stuff like that on a regular basis.
