I know this isn’t new information , but it’s likely new to someone and it was new to me!
Have you ever wondered how aliens might try to talk to us? Scientists have some pretty cool ideas about this! One interesting theory is that aliens could send us messages using DNA. DNA is like a special code that tells living things how to grow and function. It's found in every cell of our bodies and in all living things on earth.

The idea is that aliens might hide messages in the DNA of simple organisms, like bacteria. These messages could be like tiny, hidden notes that we might find if we look closely enough. Scientists think this could be a good way for aliens to communicate because DNA is very stable and can last for a long time. This means the message could survive for millions of years and even make a long journey in the cold vacuum of space to another star system! Panspermia? I think yes !

But how would we find these messages? Scientists would need to look at the DNA of many different organisms and search for patterns that don't seem natural. These patterns could be the hidden messages from aliens. It's like looking for a secret code in a huge book.

One reason scientists think this might work is because DNA is universal. All living things on Earth use DNA, so it's likely that aliens might use it too. If they do they might think it's a good way to send a message that we could understand.

Its exciting to think about the possibilities! Maybe one day we'll find a message from aliens hidden in the DNA of a tiny organism. Until then scientists will keep exploring and seeing if there are patterns in DNA.

The scientist specifically mentioned the possibility of finding a message in the so called (junk DNA). This reminds me of the peer reviewed paper” the WoW signal and the terrestrial genome” ! You know what else makes me say WOW? The New York Genome Project demonstrated their ability to encode information with a density of 215,000 terabytes per gram of DNA! What does that mean? I don’t know, but that is weird as shit huh? I mean if DNA is that efficient at storing computer data then that has to mean something right? Science doesn’t fully understand DNA, but they can make it compatible with computer data?
