Long time lurker but I finally have something to post even though it's a bit of a shameless self promotion. I and a childhood friend of mine are making a movie about a plethora of high strangeness things happening in Occitania, southern France. We stumbled upon this region where we found one rabbit hole story after another and decided to record these stories. Three years later the film is now ended shooting and we are finishing editing and sound design.
We got some Ufo encounters, heretical cults, the hunters of holy grail and one wizzard battle told mostly by people who experienced them. It's a bit of a potpourri but our idea is to make a film feel like a visit to this Zone.
We ain't a big production so it's been me and my friend doing this mostly by ourselves and with our own money and a small grant from the Finnish culture foundation grant. We find ourselves needing to hire a few people to help us so we are doing a Crowfunding campaign. Money is one thing but It would mean a lot to even get the word out about the film. We are also doing a bunch of merch and VOD stuff to entice some traffic.
