During a flight on Sunday morning from DPS to Perth, WA
It’s not something being reflected onto the window from inside – was travelling North to South and looking inland East at approximately 4am. Flight number QZ 548. Have a video I can post if required.
So I apparently I have to comment on my own post. This was 3/4s of the way through the flight, about an hour or so from landing at Perth airport. The plane was flying from North to South and this picture was taken looking eastbound over the land as to the west was the Indian ocean. I noticed a blur that was just sitting about not sure 1km or so away, but to be fair it was 4am and I was unsure if it was a smudge on the second window pane of the plane… I took out my camera to zoom and voila – these purple/pink ball lightning orbs were there visible only through the phone screen so not sure what to make of it. I have a video of them appear and disappearing too, for anyone interested.
