I saw this on multiple sites the other day and I ignored it at first because some sites were mentioning the mirror but then I read up and its talking about how in a month or so a big announcement is going to be made and American and Chinese researchers are racing to have results published indicating that they found evidence of another civilization in our galaxy

I’ve seen this guy on some low-quality podcasts but otherwise I have no idea who he is. He looks the part so must be true.
The JWST is fully capable of detecting technosignatures and I think it’s only a matter of time before it does…however, it is also fully capable of detecting biosignatures and biological life is obviously going to be far more common than intelligent civilizations. Therefore, it is extraordinarily unlikely that a discovery about a *civilization* would be made before the discovery of extraterrestrial life via biosignature/spectroscopy.
I would love for it to be true. I guess we’ll find out in a month or less.
Skeptical. No way the Chinese would vet thoroughly if in a race with the US. They would have put it out by now.
