Thoughts on “Why disclose now?” and “why does it seem like the frequency of UAPs is increasing?”

My hypothesis is that, the more time goes on and technologically progressed we become, our biosignatures and technosignatures become visible to an ever increasing number of civilizations of decreasing technological ability.

So starting in the bottom left corner. Our simple biosignatures will have possibly only been detected, or known about, or cared about by civilizations that are godlike.

As time goes on, other civilizations would detect our biosignatures over the last billion years, with FTL craft to visit us to observe or do what they do.

Over this time less advanced civilizations may have also detected us, but have taken longer to get here or weren’t capable yet. Our biosignatures would be detectable across our own galaxy (distance dictating how advanced those civilizations are).

Now our technosignatures come on board. The same pattern happens again. Some godlike civs who didn’t care about biosignatures now are interested and come take a look.

The pattern repeats as our technosignatures spread. In the grand scheme of things it’s not that far – maybe 100 light years? But sufficiently advanced civilizations may have other ways of detecting them, so they visit.

What this may ultimately result in is that there are “slower” civilizations on their way here purely based on biosignatures. There may be other civilizations also on the way due to technosignatures. So this means we are seeing, and/or will see, more visitors coming here with decreasing technological capabilities that are more perceptible and visible to us. And as the less advanced civilizations come here, they may be more on “our level” and seek to actually make contact with us.

If this is the case, disclosure makes sense. Because previously it was phenomena that was hard to explain, with craft they couldn’t figure out, but with more craft coming that are more like what we understand technology and craft to be like, it becomes easier to disclose/explain and harder to cover up. And ultimately if this line of thinking is right, it’s inevitable that it gets to a point where it can’t be hidden, such as a large alien ship entering earth orbit, seeking to make contact with us or other extremely noticeable event. Thus disclosure would help soften the surprise.

Side note: I know it’s a linear chart, I think it would be more complex, like maybe a steeper curve once technosignatures are introduced but for now it’s just an abstract representation.
