The last Sapa Inca (emperor) of the Neo-Inca Empire, was Túpac Amaru even though his life was short he was known as a good leader, the Spanish were very cruel due to the Muslim conquest for over 780 years, that’s when the Spanish Kingdom started the “Reconquista” in 718, which means “Reconquest” to retake the Iberian peninsula. The Grenada War, which brought an end to the Islamic rule of the Iberian peninsula, ultimately turning the Spanish Kingdom into what it was during the massacring of the Incas.

So here’s my theory… After the stone was found and roughly cut into a shape that matched its natural shape and the space it needed to fit into, it was moved to the spot, cut to its final shape, and then put in place with a [layer of boiling, highly acidic clay mixture](https://calypsocenter.com/history/unraveling-the-secrets-of-inca-stone-walls-acid-theory/) between the stones. Using plant parts to protect their hands, they rubbed or polished the stones’ faces and joints with more of the acidic mixture.
The way the polygonal Inca stone walls look now is because of the weight of the stone above, the acidic mixture, and time. This process also works for the corners we see that are rounded. They were cut into a rough shape, and then the acidic mixture was used to smooth them out.
We can be sure that they did this to make the outside of the wall look better and maybe to make it harder for enemies to push the stones out of the wall with a tool or lever.
