Sourced from [https://www.askapol.com/p/sneak-peaks-post-scif-exclusives](https://www.askapol.com/p/sneak-peaks-post-scif-exclusives), interviewing Mike Waltz of Florida’s 6th as Waltz exited the SCIF with IC IG on Friday Jan 12.
Transcribed quotes from Matt Laslo’s interview (spoilers to remind you to consider supporting [askapol.com](https://askapol.com)):
* It \[SCIF session\] >!was very process oriented.!<
* Not anything definitive >!on existence of ET.!<
* Definitively some concerns >!on whether things are being shared across the inter-agency as they should be.!<
* I want to understand if the task force that Congress has mandated, truly has access. I mean that’s what I think from a process standpoint we need to verify. That was one of the key aspects of his \[Grusch’s\] complaint, right, >!was that there are compartments that exist. So, I think that’s something to follow up on. Does that task force have the full authority that it needs to go find out and report back?!<
* Don’t know anything about Kirkpatrick’s replacement
Mike Waltz is member of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) chaired by Mike Rogers, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) chaired by Mike Turner. He is not a member of House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, but nonetheless attended the SCIF meeting with Office of the ICIG Jan 12 (as did Mike Turner).
This combination of committees should allow Mike Waltz more access than most other House members pushing for transparency on this issue, so do consider pushing the Congressman towards spending more energy on this topic.
Waltz also went on record with [similar comments](https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/146nk3q/florida_rep_mike_waltz_talks_ufo_whistleblower/) not long after The Debrief article landed.
What I’m very curious about is whether Waltz is even aware that the specifics of David Grusch’s complaint were presented to HPSCI staffers, and if that information was relayed to the Congressman.
